it started with Kailyn
Kailyn trained at Spectacle Blue for years. She was good. She graduated, moved away to university, and found another aerial studio to train in.
She called me not long after. She was shaken. The studio was not safe. The instructor was not warm. Nobody greeted each other. There was no community. There was no sense that the people running the program actually cared about what happened to the kids inside it.
She said: "We need what you do everywhere, so that we can feel safe and feel like there is community."
And then Kali said the same thing. And Jada. And Emma. Graduating student after graduating student came back and told me the same story. They had not realized how different our program was until they left it.

That difference has a name now. It is called the Stellar Human Project.
It is built into everything we do: how we teach, how we run a class, how we greet a new student, how we talk about mistakes, how we build community inside a studio. It is not a marketing add-on. It is the architecture underneath the aerial.
The old teacher training program taught the aerial. It did not carry any of this. A teacher could complete the training, go run a program somewhere, and none of what makes Spectacle Blue what it is would travel with them.
That is why we stopped offering it.
What we built instead
